One tracker for your practice across
WHY I MADE JUSTPREPP.
I used to track my mock scores in a spreadsheet. Like a lot of you, I wanted to see how far I’d come, what was improving, and where I still needed work.
But filling a spreadsheet after every mock takes time. Making a useful one takes even more. I understand why some people stick to a notebook: tracking shouldn’t become another task on your study list.
I already had detailed trackers for both Prelims and Mains, so I built JustPrepp. for myself to make that routine easier. After testing it, I’m sharing it here for you to use too.
It’s free. Set it up once, then keep track of your scores in a few clicks after each mock. I hope it makes your preparation a little easier. Enjoy!
ONE-TIME SETUP
Follow these steps once on your desktop. After that, import your mock scores in a few clicks.
Download the ZIP, then right-click it and choose Extract All on Windows, or double-click it on macOS. Move the extracted JustPrepp folder somewhere permanent, such as Documents.
Download v0.9.8Keep this folder after installation; the browser loads the extension from it.
Copy the address below and paste it into your browser’s address bar. Turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked, then select the extracted JustPrepp folder.
chrome://extensions├ manifest.json
├ icons/
└ assets/If you see an outer folder called JustPrepp-0.9.8, open it first. Select the inner JustPrepp folder that directly contains manifest.json. Do not select the ZIP, assets or icons folder.
Open JustPrepp. from your browser’s extensions menu. Go to Account & trackers, sign in, then choose Create Prelims tracker or Create Mains tracker.
Confirm Make a copy using the same Google account. Return to JustPrepp and finish authorization through Google Picker, selecting that exact personal copy. To reuse an existing compatible tracker, paste its link and authorize that file instead.
Google sign-in: Use the account that owns your tracker and authorize the selected file when prompted. If access is blocked, Contact us.
All set. Open a completed mock’s analysis page, then use the floating Import result button or the JustPrepp. browser toolbar icon. See how to use it.
ALREADY USING JUSTPREPP?
For the downloaded Chrome and Brave extension. Keep your existing installation and tracker links.
Use the folder you selected when you first loaded JustPrepp, even if its name contains an older version. Do not remove the installed extension, clear its storage or load a second copy from a new folder.
Download v0.9.8 and extract the ZIP to a separate temporary location. Open its inner JustPrepp folder, which contains manifest.json.
Download v0.9.8Close any open JustPrepp panels. Copy everything inside the new JustPrepp folder into your existing installed extension folder. Choose to replace matching files. Do not put another JustPrepp folder inside the old one or delete the installed folder.
Open chrome://extensions in Chrome or brave://extensions in Brave. Find the existing JustPrepp card and click Reload (the circular arrow). Check that it shows v0.9.8, then refresh your open mock-analysis pages.
When upgrading from 0.9.3, you may need to sign in again in Account & trackers and authorize each retained Prelims and Mains tracker through Google Picker. Select your existing files; there is no need to create replacement trackers. Keep your saved links and recovery records. Your existing spreadsheet rows stay in those spreadsheets.
Keeping the same installation and folder preserves extension-local settings. Before your next import, use Check destination to confirm the intended tracker. If you cannot find the installed folder or see an unexpected version, contact us before removing or reinstalling anything.
AFTER YOUR ONE-TIME SETUP
Open your analysis. Review your scores. Save to your tracker.
The floating Import result button appears on supported analysis pages, and importing from the browser toolbar also needs that analysis page open. Wait for the scores to finish loading.
On Guidely: open the Analysis page, not just the result page.
Choose either method below. Both do the same import—you only need to use one.
Click Import result on the analysis page. Your review and save panel opens inside that page. This also works in a separate analytics window without a browser extension bar.
Keep the analysis page active, then click the JustPrepp. icon in your browser toolbar or Extensions menu. Choose Extract result to read the scores from that page.
Open a completed mock analysis. Click the floating Import result button, right on that page.
See scores together in a compact panel. Check the exam, date and destination; edit a value if needed.
Confirm the save. The extension checks for duplicates and verifies the saved row before showing success.
Create private Prelims and Mains tracker copies with the original colours, dropdowns, formulas and charts. Already have a compatible tracker? Connect that instead.
A FEW HELPFUL ANSWERS
Simple setup. Clear expectations.
Yes. This is a community project with no subscription or payment required. You use your own Google account and spreadsheet.
JustPrepp is distributed as a ready-built ZIP rather than through the Chrome Web Store. Developer mode lets you load that folder. You do not need to write code or run commands. A website cannot install or enable the extension for you.
No. Sign in with your own account. New tracker copies belong to you. The shared blank templates provide the layout; your scores are saved to the tracker you connect.
Check that you are using the Google account that owns the tracker. Reconnect Google if needed and authorize that existing file through Google Picker. If Google still blocks sign-in or file access, contact us with the error message; do not share passwords or access tokens.
Keep the same installed extension and folder. Download the latest ZIP, replace the files inside that folder, reload JustPrepp on your browser’s extensions page, and refresh your result page. Do not uninstall. Follow the step-by-step update guide, including how to reauthorize your existing trackers when upgrading from 0.9.3.
Open a completed analysis page on a supported platform, wait for its results to load, then refresh the page. Make sure JustPrepp. is enabled and allowed to run on that site. You can also open it from the browser’s extensions menu. Unsupported layouts may need a new adapter.
The extension reads the completed result page when you import, checks your connected tracker and sends the confirmed result to Google Sheets. The connection and tracker settings stay in that browser profile. This download page does not receive your scores or Google tokens. Read the privacy details.
